About Me

Welcome to my blog

I’m peyha. A french engineer with a keen interest in science and various other topics. I currently work as a research engineer at Morpho Labs, a prominent lending protocol built on Ethereum.

Background

I graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 2024 and I completed my studies with a degree at Telecom Paris.

Interests

My interests include

  • Blockchain, I fell in love with blockchain technology after participating to a hackathon in 2019 and have not staying close to it since then. I am a huge fan of Ethereum’s vision and its ability to improve the world through innovations such as Decentralized Finance and privacy preserving systems.
  • Open source, code is a tool for humanity and it should be shared as much as possible.
  • Cryptography, it is used everywhere in the digital world and it’s deeply technical. Moreover blockchains is betting everything on zero-knowledge proof for scaling.
  • AI, I was deep into RL in 2022 but I’ve favored focusing on blockchain
  • Quantum computing, I had the chance to follow the advanced class of Quantum Physics at Ecole Polytechnique and became deeply interested with it even though I recognize that the usecases of a working quantum computer are quite limited
  • Cosmology, it was the topic of the physics entrance exam at Ecole Polytechnique and I got hooked on it since then

Role models

There are many people who inspired me and pushed me to go forward. There are too many to be fully exhaustive but I’ll present the main ones.

  • Vitalik Buterin
  • Fabrice Bellard
  • Jean-Christophe Filiâtre
  • Gennady Korotkevich (tourist)
  • Morpho’s cofounders: Paul Frambot, Merlin Égalité, Mathis Gauthier-Delaunay, Julien Thomas
  • Kobe Bryant
  • Pmarca

Values

  • Cypherpunk
  • d/ac

Misc

I used to play a lot of basketball in high school and university but I’ve stopped in 2023 except for the alumni annual tournament at Ecole Polytechnique. Today, in my spare time, I do calisthenics, (break)dance a lot and listen to a lot of music (house or hip hop)
